Morning

Hey Mom and Dad! just responding to you this week. My companion is motivated but won't push anything. He asks if we can go then says that it's all up to me when and that he doesn't care really. He's the awkward shy kid but I love him. He has a terrible track record of eventually HATING his companions and thinking that all they do is for the sole purpose of making him mad. I saw a super small part of that today. I really hope it doesn't escalate. Pres is aware of it and ready to ET when it's needed. This will be one of my most interesting transfers.  I'm accepting any and all prayers! Sorry for no mass email! Let everyone know I love them and that I miss you all! Transfers and My Purpose

Image
So! Transfers are happening this Thursday and I'm staying in Kimberly for a 3rd transfer! Elder Villezcas is going all the way to Pocatello! I am getting an Elder Bailey. I haven't met him but I know that we can do a lot together! Something I've thought a lot about this week is obedience and the purpose of a missionary. Why we are even out here to begin with. It talks about this in the 1st chapter of preach my gospel. It says that my purpose is to "Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored Gospel through Faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End". This is why we are here. We are here to help people and to invite them. We don't force it down people's throats and make them accept it but instead we help them with their desires. We encourage people to come closer to Christ and to learn more about His Gospel. I have loved the times where I have helped

G ood morning everyone! I hope you all are doing good today! We had an interesting week this week! Tuesday night was amazing! We taught 2 people that want to get baptized really badly! It's so cool to see this miracle after the previous people we were teaching got too busy or not interested. I definitely know that God is always preparing people for us to teach. The first friend we have is Bryton. He's a Sophomore in High School and is going to seminary! He loves the seminary teacher and loves the things he's learning in it! He told us that he wants to get baptized which was amazing! Seminary works miracles! He already met a member of the ward who is a wrestler like him too! We love Bryton and want the best for him. The second friend we have who wants to be baptized is Sara Haskell. Her husband is a member and she had met with missionaries RIGHT before Covid then stopped for whatever reason. She was set as "not interested" in area book which was weird. We only foun

March 12th 2023 President's Letter

March, 12, 2023 Dear Sisters and Elders: The following is a powerful experience which took place in 1917 when Elder Ballard’s Grandfather,  Melvin J Ballard,  served as Mission President of the Northwestern States Mission (currently our mission area). Although, he died when Elder Russell Ballard was 10 years old, Melvin has been a major influence in his life. He had unwavering devotion to the Church and spent his entire life building on the "sure foundation" of which Helaman spoke.  While serving as a Mission President and working in difficult circumstances, Melvin faced a time of incredible struggle. There were unprecedented—and seemingly insurmountable—challenges for the Church, and Melvin literally spent hours on his knees asking for guidance and inspiration. During one such period, when all seemed bleak and utterly hopeless, Melvin received, in his words, "a wonderful manifestation and impression which has never left me.” "I was told there was a [great] privileg

What can happen in a day?

Not much but also a lot It has been a busy week without a lot of visible success. We had at least 4-5 people coming to church then 3 of them fell through. It was annoying to deal with that. We had a few eternigators come to church but that was it.  In each ward we went to I got up and tried to be one of the first to bear my testimony each time. And instead of using the same testimony each time, I used a different scripture to base my testimony on. I used 2 Nephi 7:7; 2 Kings 6:16; 3 Nephi 11:38-39: and 1 Corinthians 2:4-5. All of these scriptures are part of my testimony. I know that Heavenly Father is always watching out for us, that Jesus is always with us, and that the Holy Ghost is always trying to help us. I loved bearing my testimony and I plan to keep doing it every fast Sunday I can.  This Monday was good! One of the Zone Leaders came into the area and another Elder joined him so that we were in a trio. We talked to a ton of people and were out doing the work all day. We had a
