Desire
Good morning everyone! I hope you all are doing good today!
We had an interesting week this week! Tuesday night was amazing! We taught 2 people that want to get baptized really badly! It's so cool to see this miracle after the previous people we were teaching got too busy or not interested. I definitely know that God is always preparing people for us to teach.
The first friend we have is Bryton. He's a Sophomore in High School and is going to seminary! He loves the seminary teacher and loves the things he's learning in it! He told us that he wants to get baptized which was amazing! Seminary works miracles! He already met a member of the ward who is a wrestler like him too! We love Bryton and want the best for him.
The second friend we have who wants to be baptized is Sara Haskell. Her husband is a member and she had met with missionaries RIGHT before Covid then stopped for whatever reason. She was set as "not interested" in area book which was weird. We only found her because we decided to call all our not being taught records who have numbers that previous Thursday and she answered and was super excited! She said she had been praying without answers for a long time and that we are here to help her! She said she needs change and more Jesus in her life and we are doing all we can.
She also has a member friend in the Twin Falls South Stake (my 1st area) who I knew pretty well! We invited her over and they bonded SUPER fast. We answered questions and taught her but had to get going pretty quickly. Sara is definitely elect.
And random referrals that should pan out pretty soon happened too! One of the member families in Hansen have supposedly been taking a nonmember friend to early morning seminary in Kimberly! We are going to find out who it is this week!
Something I loved in church while trying not to fall asleep was a talk Sister McQueen gave on Desire. I really needed that and loved her insights on what the desires of our hearts are and how that can affect our actions. Also what we a re fueling our desires with. All of her talk was amazing and I invite you all to fill your desires with Christ and promise that you will see more miracles and blessings in your life as you do so.
