Friends, football, and passover?

Okay, this has been an interesting week! Last Tuesday night Elder Bailey and I got to teach Trevor and Haley. They have met with missionaries a lot and have heard on and on about baptism which was originally what we were doing too. We changed it up a little on Tuesday. We played a quick game of football and then played catch for a second. However many catches he made he had to read that many chapters of the Book of Mormon. He caught 3 and has to read 3! We then taught him how to pray and his sister said she would read with him!  The other person we are trying to get to church is Bryton. He goes to Seminary and loves it. He wants to be baptized and just has to come to church and get that testimony. He's amazing and the seminary teacher is helping a ton!  Monday we got to have a special Easter themed Zone Conference. We had Jared Halverson come and speak to us about missions and answered questions about the Gospel. He has studied the gospel his whole life and loves it so much. We lea

"The Greatest Among Us"

Many, if not all, of you know it was Easter this last week and it was great! This last week or two has also been interesting. I have started the Book of Mormon over again and have loved what I have seen in it. New things every time. From what a Prophet is to Laman and Lemuel and how the Lord is giving them opportunities to grow their faith. The Kimberly Stake has a wonderful thing that they do every Easter. They call it the Easter Cantata. It is made up of an orchestra and choir from only the Stake. They sing songs and play videos about the last week of Christ's life. We invited so many people and went to both the one on Saturday and the one on Sunday. It was AMAZING! All the songs and videos were perfect! My favorite was one titled "The Greatest Among Us" by Sally DeFord. It brought the spirit so strongly and testified to me that he is the greatest among all of us.  I know that though missionary work is hard, it is rewarding as you lean on the Savior to help you through

General Conference!

I never really cared for General Conference before my mission but it is a highlight of it now! There were so many things that I learned from it that I want to encourage you all to look it up and watch it for the first time or rewatch it!  We have had an interesting last week. To start it off, last Tuesday night one of our most promising people dropped us. We did our best to salvage it but she was set. Then, yesterday, we tried to see the other promising one we have. Apparently, the dad is going through Chemo and didn't like us knocking at all. He texted us and said that he isn't interested and doesn't want us to come back. That was sad. I have been here long enough to get to know these people and to suddenly have them say to stop coming by is hard.  There was one good highlight other than conference this week. Also on Monday we saw a member family who we had shared a message with about a month ago. They have a neighbor that they have been talking to whose husband died a cou
