"The Greatest Among Us"

Many, if not all, of you know it was Easter this last week and it was great! This last week or two has also been interesting.

I have started the Book of Mormon over again and have loved what I have seen in it. New things every time. From what a Prophet is to Laman and Lemuel and how the Lord is giving them opportunities to grow their faith.

The Kimberly Stake has a wonderful thing that they do every Easter. They call it the Easter Cantata. It is made up of an orchestra and choir from only the Stake. They sing songs and play videos about the last week of Christ's life. We invited so many people and went to both the one on Saturday and the one on Sunday. It was AMAZING! All the songs and videos were perfect! My favorite was one titled "The Greatest Among Us" by Sally DeFord. It brought the spirit so strongly and testified to me that he is the greatest among all of us. 

I know that though missionary work is hard, it is rewarding as you lean on the Savior to help you through it all. Looking for the Savior in your everyday life is also very rewarding. I hope all of you had a great Easter and had the chance to celebrate it. 

Last week has been overall just crazy. Promising people one day then the next they drop us. We finally got one person to set a time to meet this Wednesday at 3:15 so we can talk about baptism with him. Hopefully it goes well!

Afton for 2!

Hey everyone, sorry for no email last week, I was waiting to send one after I got transfer news! I'm staying in Afton for another transfer and getting a new companion! His name is Elder Garcia and he's from Arkansas! He's super funny and we get along really well! This area is just a roller-coaster! We used to have 4-5 potentials for this month and now we have like 2. It has been sad to see the situations that make the people we are teaching wait to get baptized. We are doing our best and being diligent while on the Lord's errand and we hope to see miracles! This area is amazing and I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for it! Unexpected surprises...

So, this last week has been amazing. Elder Jones and I have gone around visiting a ton of members so that we can get to know their neighbors. We have already seen success from this and are going to continue to do it. A miracle we saw this last Tuesday was a call from the Seminary teacher in the stake. He called and told us about this girl who wants to be baptized and wanted to meet that next day! So we met with her and 2 of her friends on Wednesday and she is ELECT! Many things in her life have lead her to this moment and now her friends are helping her make that choice to follow the Savior.  After that lesson at noon, we set the next one for 7:30 the next day just before transfers! We taught her the plan that God has for us and invited her to be baptized. She agreed and set a goal for June 3rd! It is amazing what the lord has in store for each and every person on the earth. The Elect

Hey everyone! Sorry for missing an email this last week, I realized I needed to write one at 10pm and just decided to wait till today. We had transfers this last week and I get to stay in the Kimberly 1 area and I swapped out Elder Johnson for Elder Villezcas (VE-yez-kas)! He loves anything to do with Sonic the Hedgehog and loves to talk. This is going to be a fun transfer! Last week went slow like the end of a transfer usually does but now we have to get that momentum again. There weren't a ton of miracles either but they are definitely coming back.  Something that I saw happen last week was when Elder Johnson and I were teaching this really old guy named Tom Smith. He's a PMF and had been meeting with missionaries for a LONG time and we had finally dug through his concerns to whether or not he believes Joseph Smith is a prophet or not. We had challenged him the week before to make up his mind on that subject but he had forgotten that part of the challenge when we came back. A...
