Miracles

Hey everyone, sorry I didn't get an email out last week! We got busy and I had to beat my comp and an 11 yr old in soccer. I did win somehow. 


But I have news. We have been working with 2 people in our area a lot this transfer and they are both planning on being baptized this Saturday!

But I have news. We have been working with 2 people in our area a lot this transfer and they are both planning on being baptized this Saturday! 

Madi has had a lot of opposition to her choice from family but is moving forward with baptism! Her parents aren't super supportive but her friends are helping her along the way! We found her at the very beginning of May and now a month later, she is getting baptized.

Bryton is a little different. He was found when I first got in the area and hasn't progressed at all until recently. He has friends that help him and people that know him at school who have helped a ton. We just have to plan his baptism and he's all set! 

This has been a week of miracles. Another one happened just last night! We found someone last Monday who had met with missionaries before. Little did we know that she has family in the Murtagh area thay had been baptized recently! So when we got there and saw 4 other people we were pretty shocked! But they helped in the lesson so much! They simplified things to where the person we were teaching could understand and wanted to do what we were asking! She promised to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true! We heard that when she promises to do something that she does it from the family. We are super excited to see what happens next!

Hey everyone, sorry for no email last week, I was waiting to send one after I got transfer news! I'm staying in Afton for another transfer and getting a new companion! His name is Elder Garcia and he's from Arkansas! He's super funny and we get along really well! This area is just a roller-coaster! We used to have 4-5 potentials for this month and now we have like 2. It has been sad to see the situations that make the people we are teaching wait to get baptized. We are doing our best and being diligent while on the Lord's errand and we hope to see miracles! This area is amazing and I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for it! Unexpected surprises...

So, this last week has been amazing. Elder Jones and I have gone around visiting a ton of members so that we can get to know their neighbors. We have already seen success from this and are going to continue to do it. A miracle we saw this last Tuesday was a call from the Seminary teacher in the stake. He called and told us about this girl who wants to be baptized and wanted to meet that next day! So we met with her and 2 of her friends on Wednesday and she is ELECT! Many things in her life have lead her to this moment and now her friends are helping her make that choice to follow the Savior.  After that lesson at noon, we set the next one for 7:30 the next day just before transfers! We taught her the plan that God has for us and invited her to be baptized. She agreed and set a goal for June 3rd! It is amazing what the lord has in store for each and every person on the earth. The Elect

Hey everyone! Sorry for missing an email this last week, I realized I needed to write one at 10pm and just decided to wait till today. We had transfers this last week and I get to stay in the Kimberly 1 area and I swapped out Elder Johnson for Elder Villezcas (VE-yez-kas)! He loves anything to do with Sonic the Hedgehog and loves to talk. This is going to be a fun transfer! Last week went slow like the end of a transfer usually does but now we have to get that momentum again. There weren't a ton of miracles either but they are definitely coming back.  Something that I saw happen last week was when Elder Johnson and I were teaching this really old guy named Tom Smith. He's a PMF and had been meeting with missionaries for a LONG time and we had finally dug through his concerns to whether or not he believes Joseph Smith is a prophet or not. We had challenged him the week before to make up his mind on that subject but he had forgotten that part of the challenge when we came back. A...
