One Day At a Time
Hello everyone! One week is already gone...
I'm new to this so if this one is boring or just eh, there will be more okay?
Waking up at 6:30 was harder than I thought, but sleeping in until 9 before my mission started didn't exactly make it easier. The first morning was a little scary waiting for class to start at 2:30. Talmage helped me by introducing me to the wonders that are the Safety Zone videos! Someone actually managed to make safety informative AND fun! So after bingeing half of them in a couple of hours, I decided to slow it down and save a few for later... and finished the rest of them the very next day. I know, save them for later I said, watch them throughout the week I said. Yeah, that didn't happen.
My first class was amazing! The spirit was definitely there. My district and I got to know each other fairly quickly and really got along well! My companion is Elder Thompson and he lives in Denton TX! Only 3+ hours away. But I could say the others are that far too. There are 5 sets of missionaries in my district with 4 of us from Utah, 1 from Arizona, 2 in Texas, 1 in New Mexico, 1 from Washington, and 1 from Hawaii!
My teachers, Brother Jezek and Sister Conger, are amazing! The lessons are deep and teach so much. Sister Conger's is from 2:30 to 5:30 and Brother Jezek's is from 7 to 10. Yeah, it makes it hard to get to bed before 10:30. Which I haven't done at all this week. Yayyyy... But I am now used to getting up so the nights are not too bad.
Now, the reason I put the subject as it is is because throughout this week, each day has felt like it would go on forever. But, by Wednesday, I was surprised that I had gone through 2 full days and was already halfway through the week. And now it's already P-day (preparation day) and I'm looking back at the fun times we had together. I really have loved this week. It has so far been one of the most spiritual weeks of my life (probably going to change in a few weeks) and I have had a lot of fun. Even daily planning with Elder Thompson has been a blast!
Overall, I look forward to the rest of my mission and can't wait to get into the MTC on Tuesday. I miss you guys! Talk to you again in a week!!!
