Another prospective Baptism, transfers, and Alma 29
So, no good news this week either. I was not sick again, but we did have to push back a baptism because our friend, Eli's parents want him to understand what he's getting himself into. This was right after we planned with the ward, he is in to move up the baptism to tonight instead. But it was not to be. Eli went to a few baptisms for other missionaries and LOVED it! Hopefully he can be baptized soon!
No transfer news yet but definitely tonight. I could very well be staying here but either Klomp or I are getting transferred. After this current transfer though, I will be done with training! So basically in 2 days. Either way, I'm excited for what's next!
I also gave a talk in church! I personally think that it was the best talk I've given! I loved it and would definitely love to do another one!
So. Alma 29 is something I happened upon while preparing for my talk on Sunday. It starts with Alma wishing that he was an angel that could speak with the voice of a trump and declare repentance to every nation! But, in verse 3, he says that he is only a man and that he should be content with what the Lord has given him already. He goes on to glorify God and the work that has been done and the success of his other fellow missionaries. This chapter led me to see my part in the work much clearer and be more dedicated and bolder. Because of that desire, I went out with Elder Klomp and in 30 minutes found 2 people and taught 3 full lessons! I really saw the effect that the Spirit had through me and can only hope that I can do that same thing on my mission every day.
Overall, I've had a really fun week and can't wait for the next one! (Sorry, this was late, we played sports all day)
Photos. It has occurred to me that I am really bad at taking photos....so this is what you get
Some pet rock turtles at a member's house!
Some motivational messages!
And the memes.
(I'll get more photos next week, I promise!)
