Miles, Lists, Painting, Church Attendance, and Exchanges
So, biking is fun. I might've mentioned it before but we were really close to our mile limit for the month so we had to bike these last few days. I've come to enjoy it actually! An elder I know loves bikes because of what he calls "bike blessings". Blessings that come from putting in the extra effort to bike no matter what the weather is like. I can say that "bike blessings" are real! Elder Klomp and I had a lot of success on the bikes!
The lists are lists of people who have gone inactive or that we need to visit and there are six of them. One of our wards got on us for not communicating super well after giving them 3 people who are progressing very well and told us to make spreadsheets of EVERYONE on all of the lists. So we typed out all the people and made the spreadsheets. It was tough to be inside typing out a list when I could be teaching someone.
We did service for a member this last week! We helped him paint the outside of his house so he could sell it and move to Tennessee. I liked it and he couldn't have done it himself. We are bad at taking photos though so I don't have any.
One of the people we are teaching named Whitley came to church! She and her husband Roger loved it and will definitely be back! They are super interested and dive into everything we teach them. Church was no different!
We had exchanges on Monday and I went to Filer with Elder Ricks and one of our APs Elder Hubnik. Elder Ricks' area covers down to Jackpot Nevada so we went down there and ended up putting 2 people on date! And actually took some photos! It rained a bit later on but I had a great time in Filer.
When we were down in Jackpot we tracted a trailer park and ran into a "scholar of religion." At least that's what he called himself. He believed that the Norse mythology was the most accurate and that Jesus was fake. He claimed to have studied all the religions and made his choice based on what he learned. All this was happening while he was rolling up a blunt and sitting in front of a super expensive gaming setup. That setup was the only real thing in his trailer too! There was a single recliner and coffee table and a super small kitchen other than that. It was pretty funny.
I've learned a lot this week and hopefully I will keep doing that. It is fun out here and I can't wait for the next week!

A sign to show how far away Jarbidge Nevada is in their area.
A scripture I really like.
A meme.
