Sickness = Boredom and maybe a miracle or two

I'm sorry to put some math on you all so late in the school year but I just had to. This email might be shorter than the others, but we shall see.

So, on Saturday the other Elders in our apartment had a baptism at 10 a.m., so in turn they were really busy. In that craze, Elder Sharp mentioned he had a sore throat and could be sick, but because it was a fairly rushed morning we all kind of forgot about it. I had a talk to prepare, we had to fill the font, make sure we were dressed in time, do everything else associated with a baptism, and NOT forget that Sharp was sick. Well, we did all of those except the last one. So we got home and he said he wasn't feeling good again. I wanted to go out still because the next 2 days were really busy preparing for our own baptism and we had to talk to some really progressing people but Elder Sharp said he really didn't feel too good. So, we stayed home..... for 2 whole days....

Now, some of you might be thinking that I enjoyed the "time off" but in reality I did not like it much. We had no snack food and every game we have (Munchkin Booty, Catan, and Star Realms) is basically pitted against me. I only won ONE Catan game. And lost 12 games of Munchkin Booty in a row of the 16 games we played. And got trashed in Star Realms. After a while the losses start to be non-existent and the mindless losing sets in. All that combined with literally nothing else to do all day made for a boring 2 days.

Now for the better part of the email. The miracles! We did get out on Monday when Elder Sharp was feeling better and had at least one more miracle to add to the one earlier in the week! So, last Tuesday, we got out right as P-Day ended at 6 and in 30 minutes had already reached the goal for aa normal day! 2 finds, 3 lessons, and 3 LSI lessons with members! That momentum kept going throughout the week to the point that we surpassed that standard every day! Until we had to stay home but still! The next one was on Monday when we had a lesson with a mom and her 8 year old son. In the middle of the Gospel of Jesus Christ I asked them both to be baptized and without hesitation, the mom said yes and her son said yes right after her! We hadn't even finished the lesson yet. They just knew that baptism is what they wanted to do. It raised my spirits for the rest of the day!

Overall, it has been a fast week. I've had fun and know that anything is possible when you are doing the Lord's work.

A pretty sunset last night.
