Timing with miracles and sleep...

So, this was a great week! There were a lot of miracles and blessings we saw throughout the week. It was great to see the Lord working through us like that. 

Now, there were a few miracles that I found the most interesting. One was a few days ago on Thursday or Friday and we were tracting an apartment complex and we knocked into a lady named Brooklyn who had just gotten through a divorce and was taking it pretty badly. We talked to her and testified that God loves her and cares for her and we gave her our number! We went back on Monday, and she loved the message! She wants to be baptized and we will keep meeting with her to make that happen. 

 

Another also happened on Monday. My exchange companion, Elder Lund, and I were having no luck with anything. We were about halfway to Jackpot Nevada, which is an hour away and still in our area, so we decided to go down and see what we can do there. We spent a couple minutes looking for a street to knock and choose one that I had never seen before. We get a few houses down and see this lady watching us creepily. After we start walking away, she asks us to come over and talk to them! Now, Elder Lund and I were more than happy to do that! 

 

We got inside and it so happens that they are members of the Jackpot branch we went to on Sunday. The lady said that her husband has had extreme back pain and that 3 minutes before they had prayed and messaged the branch president to come give her husband a blessing. We showed up and answered their prayer! It was really special.

 

And last night I was forced to spend the night at a different Elder's apartment. Now what sucked was that I forgot a blanket and pillow and pajamas. So I 'slept' in the clothes I came with. And ended up not sleeping at all because I couldn't get comfortable. It was a fun night. 

 

Overall, it's been fun and I love being an instrument in the Lord's hand.

Hey everyone, sorry for no email last week, I was waiting to send one after I got transfer news! I'm staying in Afton for another transfer and getting a new companion! His name is Elder Garcia and he's from Arkansas! He's super funny and we get along really well! This area is just a roller-coaster! We used to have 4-5 potentials for this month and now we have like 2. It has been sad to see the situations that make the people we are teaching wait to get baptized. We are doing our best and being diligent while on the Lord's errand and we hope to see miracles! This area is amazing and I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for it! Unexpected surprises...

So, this last week has been amazing. Elder Jones and I have gone around visiting a ton of members so that we can get to know their neighbors. We have already seen success from this and are going to continue to do it. A miracle we saw this last Tuesday was a call from the Seminary teacher in the stake. He called and told us about this girl who wants to be baptized and wanted to meet that next day! So we met with her and 2 of her friends on Wednesday and she is ELECT! Many things in her life have lead her to this moment and now her friends are helping her make that choice to follow the Savior.  After that lesson at noon, we set the next one for 7:30 the next day just before transfers! We taught her the plan that God has for us and invited her to be baptized. She agreed and set a goal for June 3rd! It is amazing what the lord has in store for each and every person on the earth. The Elect

Hey everyone! Sorry for missing an email this last week, I realized I needed to write one at 10pm and just decided to wait till today. We had transfers this last week and I get to stay in the Kimberly 1 area and I swapped out Elder Johnson for Elder Villezcas (VE-yez-kas)! He loves anything to do with Sonic the Hedgehog and loves to talk. This is going to be a fun transfer! Last week went slow like the end of a transfer usually does but now we have to get that momentum again. There weren't a ton of miracles either but they are definitely coming back.  Something that I saw happen last week was when Elder Johnson and I were teaching this really old guy named Tom Smith. He's a PMF and had been meeting with missionaries for a LONG time and we had finally dug through his concerns to whether or not he believes Joseph Smith is a prophet or not.
