A fueled fire a rolling ball and "heat"

Hey everyone! How are you guys? I get updates from only a few of you and i just hope you are all doing good.

Now, last P-day, my Mission President came to a stake meeting on missionary work and talked about the work here in the Filer Stake. He gave really good points and made the members see just how spread out this mission is. We have half of the missionaries we have had in the past and are doing more work than missions in the same area with more missionaries than us! But, he told them that there's only 2 companionships for the whole stake and that means we have a lot of ground to cover. Right after the meeting, we talked to all of our wards and branches and they were ready to go! President had lit a fire in them!

Throughout this whole week Elder Gibby and I have been working our legs off. We met with half of our wards and branches and talked about the work in their area. This only fueled the fire more! All I can say is that if the members are on your side, the work goes so much better.

That ball I mentioned is how we reference the work in our area. Not to everyone we ever talk to but if a member asks we always say "the ball is rolling" and that seems to answer the question. I however really have seen the ball, that used to not be rolling at all, start to roll. Our efforts are really paying off! Filer really is a gold mine! So much work to be done and not enough time. AND!!!! My first Baptism is happening this Saturday! I can't wait! He is ready and has been waiting for a long time!

The temperature here has gotten to 100 degrees and maybe a little higher and EVERYONE comments on it. Now, once they learn I'm from Texas they usually say that this is probably nothing to me. They're right. Because there's no humidity to really make it bad (I'm sorry for you Elder Hansen. Houston probably sucks right now). Most of the Elders here don't like it this hot but it really isn't that bad.

I read a scripture this last week that I had to make into a wallpaper. It is Doctrine and Covenants 6:34-35. I didn't add 36 because I think these two verses work together just fine. They say:

34 Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail.
35 Behold, I do not condemn you; go your ways and sin no more; perform with soberness the work which I have commanded you.

They struck me and made it obvious how the Lord wants all of us in His 'little flock' to go about His work.
