A busy week....

Okay, this has been a really busy week, if you couldn't tell from the title.

We have had a lot of things planned fall through and a lot of unplanned things happen.
It all started Wednesday.... we had District Council and my companion had this amazing idea to make breakfast burritos there. Now, the first thing that went wrong was the idea I had to pour the hot bacon grease into a plastic cup. Now, if I had put any more thought into it, I would've realized that it was a BAD idea to do that. My companion kept saying it would melt but I said "Noooooo.... it won't melt." But, lo and behold, it melted. Thankfully I took the smallest bit of advice and did it over the trash. So! Everyone! Learn from my mistake and get 2 plastic cups inside each other not just one! 

We had a lesson with some people that we are teaching and they said they would pray about our message and baptism as well!
They also said they would come to the Ward Party on Saturday but some things happened that made them miss it. We also got an amazing referral from a member and it is super promising! A total of 6 people and they want to come to church and meet everyone! 

And! I absolutely suck at the game B.S. We payed it with the other Elders for lunch one day and I got DESTROYED. I guess I just have a terrible poker face. And can't read others for the life of me.

There was also this weird guy around the church who followed us and kept asking if we needed help. In a weird way, not the helpful way. He followed us around the church and we left pretty quickly after the key didn't work on either of the doors. 

And last thing! We set up a meal schedule for the branches to feed us! It starts this next transfer so I hope I stay for that!

Transfers are Thursday but we won't get word on what's happening until tomorrow so I'll have to tell you guys what happened next week!

Afton for 2!

Hey everyone, sorry for no email last week, I was waiting to send one after I got transfer news! I'm staying in Afton for another transfer and getting a new companion! His name is Elder Garcia and he's from Arkansas! He's super funny and we get along really well! This area is just a roller-coaster! We used to have 4-5 potentials for this month and now we have like 2. It has been sad to see the situations that make the people we are teaching wait to get baptized. We are doing our best and being diligent while on the Lord's errand and we hope to see miracles! This area is amazing and I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for it! Unexpected surprises...

So, this last week has been amazing. Elder Jones and I have gone around visiting a ton of members so that we can get to know their neighbors. We have already seen success from this and are going to continue to do it. A miracle we saw this last Tuesday was a call from the Seminary teacher in the stake. He called and told us about this girl who wants to be baptized and wanted to meet that next day! So we met with her and 2 of her friends on Wednesday and she is ELECT! Many things in her life have lead her to this moment and now her friends are helping her make that choice to follow the Savior.  After that lesson at noon, we set the next one for 7:30 the next day just before transfers! We taught her the plan that God has for us and invited her to be baptized. She agreed and set a goal for June 3rd! It is amazing what the lord has in store for each and every person on the earth. The Elect

Hey everyone! Sorry for missing an email this last week, I realized I needed to write one at 10pm and just decided to wait till today. We had transfers this last week and I get to stay in the Kimberly 1 area and I swapped out Elder Johnson for Elder Villezcas (VE-yez-kas)! He loves anything to do with Sonic the Hedgehog and loves to talk. This is going to be a fun transfer! Last week went slow like the end of a transfer usually does but now we have to get that momentum again. There weren't a ton of miracles either but they are definitely coming back.  Something that I saw happen last week was when Elder Johnson and I were teaching this really old guy named Tom Smith. He's a PMF and had been meeting with missionaries for a LONG time and we had finally dug through his concerns to whether or not he believes Joseph Smith is a prophet or not. We had challenged him the week before to make up his mind on that subject but he had forgotten that part of the challenge when we came back. A...
