Lawn care and a Baptism!
First! Lawn care. In Filer, we live in a shoebox that has been enlarged to livable proportions. And its green. And possibly the only house in the miss with a lawn. So. We aren't allowed to mow our lawn as missionaries so we just let it grow. Way too tall apparently because the city has been getting complaints about it. So the police chief stopped by twice and warned us that it has to get mowed or someone is going to get fined. So after unsuccessfully trying to 1. Find our housing coordinator, and then 2. Calling the mission office to find out who it actually is, then 3. Actually calling them, to finally 4. Get the answer that they don't do that and have never even thought to do it.
So. With that being said, we called the mission housing people and got a plan laid out. But then came home to the police chief mowing our lawn! That's nice of him but that messed up the plan (All this is happening last Wednesday). SO! We then got word that the housing coordinator would come down and do a housing inspection and try to fix the lawn. All in all, that wasted about 4 hours of our proselyting time.
On Monday, we had exchanges and I was in Filer with Fuhriman and Phillips. We got a lot of work done and met some WEIRD people in Jackpot, but they had to sit through 2 hours of lawn care and a house inspection that took away from our study time. This was so fun... I love lawn care.
Now for a happier moment! My first Baptism was on Saturday! Someone in the mission presidency came to it and it was a blast! Half the people (not me) were crying and saying how wonderful it was! Pete Sotelo was confirmed on Sunday and it was just as special. We did have to spend 2 hours at the church waiting for the font to fill up but it was definitely worth it!
I've been reading a lot of conference talks lately and actually used one of them in a talk we gave in Jackpot on Sunday! It is called Thanks be to God by Russell M. Nelson in 2012. It really reminds me just how much the lord has given me and how little I thank him for it all. I am so grateful to be here at this time and while I haven't seen much of the mission yet, I know I still have a lot of lives to bless and people to help.
Stay alive at least until I come home everyone! I love you all!

Me being 'depressed' on a rusty playground in Jacpot. It was definitely not the safest place but the word has to go to everyone!
Out absolutely failed lasagna. It was cold inside but burnt to a crisp on the top. I don't know how it happened so don't ask.
