Miracles, fall leaves, General Conference, and Alma 26

This has been an exciting week! We have had quite a bit of success!

Most of this happened Monday on exchanges. I was with Elder Moses in my area! He is a great guy and loves to have fun, so we get along just fine! But, we started off our day kind of slowly. We tried to talk to a few people but no one was answering. We ate lunch and then knocked part of an apartment complex. Now, this is where the cool stuff happens. It was about 3:30 and we had a fair few things planned between 3 and 4:30. So we went about doing those things and then went to visit someone in a trailer park and he was home! Without teaching a full lesson, we taught him about Joseph Smith and the first vision, the Book of Mormon and how we can pray to know its truthfulness! He LOVED it! He said that he has the same questions that Joseph Smith did and that we are the first church that has asked him to PRAY about something.
Now, that's not it. He told us that his brother lives across the street and that we should go stop by and talk to him too (around 7 when he's home). So we did! At 7 we came back with a member and they hit it off! We talked about church too and he said he would come! THEN! We went to the first house again and talked to them about church as well! And they said that they would try! And also bring their 4 kids! It was amazing! Sure that made us late to end the exchange but it was worth it.

It is definitely fall up here. The mountains are turning orange and yellow and it is BEAUTIFUL! I never knew mountains could be so pretty!

Okay, now most of you know what General Conference is but for those who don't, it is one of the 2 times in the year that the Prophet and the Apostles speak to us! It is a program that is broadcast all over the world so we can see and hear them speak! They give little "TED talks" on things in the Gospel and ways that we can better ourselves and become more like Christ! This Conference was amazing and I would encourage you all to either watch it again or try watching it just this once! I know the prophet's words are meant for everyone and that we should all listen to them!

And finally, Alma 26. This chapter was suggested by our mission president and I read it and ended up highlighting almost every verse! This chapter is about some missionaries in the Book of Mormon who went out and taught the Lamanites the Gospel and their joys and rejoicings in their work. They praise God and Testify that it is through him that all of this is possible. I would also encourage you guys to read this as well. It is amazing and is important for everyone to study!

Overall, it has been an amazing week and transfer. Transfers happen on Thursday but, as usual, there is no word on what's happening until tomorrow. I could train! I'll let you know next week!
