Tire trouble and life

So, we got our first flat tire on Wednesday. This was a problem because we had a lot of things scheduled for that night. We put the spare on and I didn't like it at all. It felt like it could pop at any moment. We had called the vehicle coordinator and he said to go to commercial tire before they close (this was at 5). So we went and they said that they couldn't do it tonight but that tomorrow morning would work better.

We took his advice and went the next morning at 10. We walked to winco and back in 45 minutes to get some things and be back before the hour it would to patch the tire was over. We got back and our car still wasn't even in the shop yet. So we sat there until 12:45 then walked to Costco and ate lunch there. We had a 40 minute conversation with some members and when we got back, OUR CAR STILL WASN'T IN THE SHOP! It was like 1:45 at this point and we were BORED. We just sat there for another 30 minutes until they got our car in for 15 minutes and fixed it. It was 2:20 when we got our car back. A full 4 hours and 20 minutes of our day wasted.

But when we got out, we had a lot of success! We went over the standard of excellence of 2 finds, 3 lessons, and 3 member lessons! It was amazing what we did in such a small time frame! We enjoyed every second we were back on 4 wheels not 3½.

Something I liked this week and learned from exchanges is in Alma 37 verse 37. Especially the part where it says to "Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good". Something that we have seen this week is the importance of setting goals daily and also bringing the Lord into that. When we "Counsel with the Lord", we invite him into our lives and our choices. He won't make every choice for us but he will help us here and there throughout the day. This has brought miracles into this work and I know it will continue to do so.
