Okay. You're not going to believe this but...

We have been sick the last 5 days!!!🥳😃😀😅🥲🙁😥😓

Not fun. BORING! It was so boring! And the thing is, Elder Adamson might still be sick. I was sick for 3 of those days but I'm fine now. That means we still won't do anything for a few days. I've offered to help in every way I know how and he either declines or says he'll get to it later.
But aside from that, I have had a lot of time on my hands for no reason. 

Have any of you guys heard of Hank Smith? Well I had heard of him without truly understanding anything really until last Wednesday. That was the one day it seemed that we worked. Elder Adamson has quite a few of his talks and played one of them in the car. And I loved it! It was amazing! So on Sunday, I asked him to send me all 16 of the talks he has and then binge-listened to them in 2 days. Each one is about an hour or more but it was worth it! All of them were so GOOD! I now understand things differently and see things from a whole new perspective but finished them all last night... It was sad at first but I then felt motivated to do stuff. I can't go outside and can't really do missionary work but I can study.

So instead of randomly, maybe mindlessly studying, I decided to memorize something. Not just any old something, an whole chapter of the Book of Mormon!! I chose 2 Nephi 31. This chapter is all about the Doctrine of Christ. He says that in the 2nd verse that he has "a few words which I must speak concerning the Doctrine of Christ". For those of you who are thinking I have all of it memorized, I don't. But I do have the first 2 verses down! And it's only when I started to truly try to memorize them that I realized just how important they were! If we took them out we wouldn't know some very important things especially about the chapter to come! 

This is a big goal but it is something I want to do. I am determined to do it and I know it won't take just 2 days. This could take months or even a year but it will be worth it to know this chapter by heart. 

I don't really have a spiritual thought or phrase like I have in the past, I just want to encourage you guys to study and maybe even memorize a scripture or 2 and think about them. You will find so much in it that you never knew before! 

It's also Christmas this weekend! I'm excited and can't wait for that day! I love the focus on the Savior being born and even how that was just the START of MANY miracles to come! This next year is going to be full of miracles! Just keep looking for them!

Hey everyone, sorry for no email last week, I was waiting to send one after I got transfer news! I'm staying in Afton for another transfer and getting a new companion! His name is Elder Garcia and he's from Arkansas! He's super funny and we get along really well! This area is just a roller-coaster! We used to have 4-5 potentials for this month and now we have like 2. It has been sad to see the situations that make the people we are teaching wait to get baptized. We are doing our best and being diligent while on the Lord's errand and we hope to see miracles! This area is amazing and I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for it! Unexpected surprises...

So, this last week has been amazing. Elder Jones and I have gone around visiting a ton of members so that we can get to know their neighbors. We have already seen success from this and are going to continue to do it. A miracle we saw this last Tuesday was a call from the Seminary teacher in the stake. He called and told us about this girl who wants to be baptized and wanted to meet that next day! So we met with her and 2 of her friends on Wednesday and she is ELECT! Many things in her life have lead her to this moment and now her friends are helping her make that choice to follow the Savior.  After that lesson at noon, we set the next one for 7:30 the next day just before transfers! We taught her the plan that God has for us and invited her to be baptized. She agreed and set a goal for June 3rd! It is amazing what the lord has in store for each and every person on the earth. The Elect

Hey everyone! Sorry for missing an email this last week, I realized I needed to write one at 10pm and just decided to wait till today. We had transfers this last week and I get to stay in the Kimberly 1 area and I swapped out Elder Johnson for Elder Villezcas (VE-yez-kas)! He loves anything to do with Sonic the Hedgehog and loves to talk. This is going to be a fun transfer! Last week went slow like the end of a transfer usually does but now we have to get that momentum again. There weren't a ton of miracles either but they are definitely coming back.  Something that I saw happen last week was when Elder Johnson and I were teaching this really old guy named Tom Smith. He's a PMF and had been meeting with missionaries for a LONG time and we had finally dug through his concerns to whether or not he believes Joseph Smith is a prophet or not.
