A God of Miracles

I have been thinking about my last few emails and how short and uninformative they were and I hope to make this one better.

We started off the week with District council and learned how to use the scriptures more effectively! I am trying to get better at using scriptures and having them testify of the things we teach.

We got to talk to a lot of members and share messages with them this week. By doing so, we have gotten some amazing referrals that are very promising. I have seen the area grow so much in a week just from these meetings.

On Sunday, we saw miracles all day. We had a goal of 3 people to come to church. We started the day with no one set but ended the day with 6! People just kept showing up and even after church people were telling us about people who came! It was amazing miracle to see! 

I also came across a scripture in Mormon. It is Mormon 9:11. It starts by saying; But behold, I will show unto you a God of miracles. It goes on to talk about who God is and what He has done. That first part stood out to me the most and testified that God is always going to show miracles if we look for them and have faith.

Afton for 2!

Hey everyone, sorry for no email last week, I was waiting to send one after I got transfer news! I'm staying in Afton for another transfer and getting a new companion! His name is Elder Garcia and he's from Arkansas! He's super funny and we get along really well! This area is just a roller-coaster! We used to have 4-5 potentials for this month and now we have like 2. It has been sad to see the situations that make the people we are teaching wait to get baptized. We are doing our best and being diligent while on the Lord's errand and we hope to see miracles! This area is amazing and I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for it! Unexpected surprises...

So, this last week has been amazing. Elder Jones and I have gone around visiting a ton of members so that we can get to know their neighbors. We have already seen success from this and are going to continue to do it. A miracle we saw this last Tuesday was a call from the Seminary teacher in the stake. He called and told us about this girl who wants to be baptized and wanted to meet that next day! So we met with her and 2 of her friends on Wednesday and she is ELECT! Many things in her life have lead her to this moment and now her friends are helping her make that choice to follow the Savior.  After that lesson at noon, we set the next one for 7:30 the next day just before transfers! We taught her the plan that God has for us and invited her to be baptized. She agreed and set a goal for June 3rd! It is amazing what the lord has in store for each and every person on the earth. The Elect

Hey everyone! Sorry for missing an email this last week, I realized I needed to write one at 10pm and just decided to wait till today. We had transfers this last week and I get to stay in the Kimberly 1 area and I swapped out Elder Johnson for Elder Villezcas (VE-yez-kas)! He loves anything to do with Sonic the Hedgehog and loves to talk. This is going to be a fun transfer! Last week went slow like the end of a transfer usually does but now we have to get that momentum again. There weren't a ton of miracles either but they are definitely coming back.  Something that I saw happen last week was when Elder Johnson and I were teaching this really old guy named Tom Smith. He's a PMF and had been meeting with missionaries for a LONG time and we had finally dug through his concerns to whether or not he believes Joseph Smith is a prophet or not.
