So it's been good

Hey everyone! It's been a blast out here in Chubbuck! We had 2 baptisms set for last Saturday but they got moved to this Saturday!

They are Ashley and Jacoby Polk and I love them! They love the Gospel and have such a desire to learn! We found them my first week here and they have progressed so fast! Pray for their mom Nat so she can accept all of it and be baptized as well!

We are also working with Sayge and Jayden Vesser! We had our first lesson tonight and they LOVE the Gospel. They already think the Book of Mormon is amazing and Sayge asked if he could go on a mission! We can only teach them once a week because of custody but it was great!

Is everything going good where you guys are? Let me know! I won't have a P-day until Thanksgiving so let me know your plans!

Big or small

Hello everyone!  We have had a great week here in Kimberly! We started it off by having a lesson with one of our more promising people at the seminary building! She was a lot more comfortable there and the seminary teacher was able to help with the lesson! We had a really busy day on Thursday and ended up rushing everywhere because we had so many things to do in a short amount of time! We got to talk to a lot of members this week and have learned more about some families in the wards we cover and how we can help them! We had that busy pace almost every day this week. Being busy makes the work a lot more fun and makes it fly by sometimes!  We had a lesson with a man named Mike Saturday night. Mike has had a really rough life and didn't want anything to do with the church a few years ago. His neighbors are members and they have helped him a few times and served him a bit and recently asked them for advice on some things. The members referred him to the bishop and he started meeting w

Faith and Diligence

This has been a good week. We handed Madi off to YSA (young single adult) missionaries and they are planning to have the baptism in early July. I'm bummed about that but I can't do too much there. All the people that we committed and invited to come to church didn't come. We did our best. A big thing that happened was the Ward council for the Hansen Ward came out with us every night this past week! It was amazing! The people we talked to that we were teaching before progressed so much in the lessons with a member! We have been trying to get this going for quite a while! My favorite thing that happened was probably all of Monday. Elder Smith and Elder Taber came into my area and we had a blast. We worked and had faith and prayed often and were diligent. We got the hang of member work more, signed Elder Jones and I up for over 4 hours of service this week, helped the Guerrero family that got offended commit to come to church, acted on instantaneous promptings to pet someone&#

Miles, Lists, Painting, Church Attendance, and Exchanges

So, biking is fun. I might've mentioned it before but we were really close to our mile limit for the month so we had to bike these last few days. I've come to enjoy it actually! An elder I know loves bikes because of what he calls "bike blessings". Blessings that come from putting in the extra effort to bike no matter what the weather is like. I can say that "bike blessings" are real! Elder Klomp and I had a lot of success on the bikes! The lists are lists of people who have gone inactive or that we need to visit and there are six of them. One of our wards got on us for not communicating super well after giving them 3 people who are progressing very well and told us to make spreadsheets of EVERYONE on all of the lists. So we typed out all the people and made the spreadsheets. It was tough to be inside typing out a list when I could be teaching someone. We did service for a member this last week!
