A move (again), Mother's Day, and Lessons
So, this week has felt really long. This P-day came really slowly.
We moved another family this week! It went really fast even though there was a lot of stuff. It felt like one of our moves as a family. Packed boxes and one U-haul packed efficiently. Elder Klomp and I were sad to see the family go but we obviously couldn't stop it.
I'm going to assume that you were all aware that this Sunday was Mother's Day. We had a lot of really good talks about mothers in our wards that made me wonder how my mom helped me grow into who I am today. 1) She always knew when to help but also when to let me learn for myself. 2) She is the best mom I've had. Also the only one so I don't have much to choose from. But, she really is amazing. 3) She can always make me laugh. Even when I don't want to. She can be silly and bring joy back to my life. 4) She never straight up says no....well.... nevermind. She does say no but only when she knows I definitely didn't think it through and will get hurt. Not because she doesn't want me to have fun. Overall, I love you Mom❤! You are the best and always will be.
I got to teach the Young Women with Elder Klomp for Mother's Day as well. And the Priests of a different ward. Either everyone is super nice (which might be the case) or I'm actually not a bad teacher. I had fun and loved doing it! A scripture from those lessons that I really loved is Mosiah 14: 3-5. We read it normally to each class then read it again but changed all the "we"s to "I"s and made it more personal. Sometimes we might think that the Savior doesn't understand my specific problems or challenges and forget that He does understand. He understands more than we know. We just have to let him help us.
(Happy Birthday Lorna and Mom!😊😋🥳)
